Something for Every Bed

Not all king size mattresses are the same. They’re often slightly different sizes, which can make finding one that fits perfectly a chore. Our range includes blankets in a variety of different fits to suit almost any mattress. You can find overblankets, throws, fully fitted blankets with an elastic skirt, and mattress covers that fit to your bed using straps or tie tapes.

Dual Controls

If you share your bed with a partner, you likely prefer your bed at a slightly different temperature than they do. If that’s the case, there’s no need to argue – just pick up a blanket with dual controls! These models are fitted with two controls, which each controlling one side of the blanket. This means you can set your side of the bed warmer or cooler than your partner.

If you’re in bed alone, it’s worth bearing in mind that each side of the blanket works off its own power supply. This means you’ll need a plug socket on each side of the bed, but it also means you can turn one side of the blanket off to cut your energy costs in half!

How to Use Your Electric Blanket

If you have an electric underblanket, you should fit it onto your mattress first, then add your fitted sheet and duvet on top. If you have a fabric mattress cover you want to use in addition to your electric blanket, put this on first before you fit the heated blanket.

Electric Blanket Care and Maintenance

All the blankets you see on our site are machine-washable. Just detach the controllers and pop it in your washing machine on a 30°C (or cold) cycle. Some models can also be tumble-dried, but make sure to check this before you do so.

When drying your blanket on a line, be sure to spread it out neatly across your washing line, with no creases in it. You want the blanket to dry evenly as possible as the weight of the water can cause it to stretch. If it stretches, there’s a chance the heating elements inside might become displaced, meaning your blanket won’t heat up as evenly as it did before.

Rotary washing lines and clothes horses are best for drying heated blankets as you can drape the blanket over the top of them. If you’re not sure how to go about it, give us a call and we’ll be happy to walk you through it!
