This is the second electric blanket that we have bought from this company. The previous one lasted eleven years with daily use. We bought an identical replacement because we were so pleased with the original. The features that we especially liked were the way it fitted over the mattress with an elasticated cover (rather than plastic ties), the flexibility of options - separate controls for each side, separate temperature settings for body and feet with nine possible temperature options for each and timing options from one hour to eight hours. I think that works out at 288 different possible settings. Enough to satisfy everyone I should think!

Yes, as long as the mattress protector is not memory foam or plastic/waterproof type. The electric blanket would need to go over the top of the protector with a sheet then over the top of the electric blanket.
Where are the electric blankets made
These are manufactured in China and imported to the U.K.
I am just about to wash my electric blanket but wondered how best to dry it?
Hang on a clothesline to dry naturally without securing pegs, never dry in a dryer, and never iron. Once it is completely dry, it should be reconnected to the controller unless stored for the summer.
Is the fleece under blanket fitted so is like a fitted under sheet and so will not ruck up during sleep
The blanket is fitted and has and has an elasticated skirt which you tuck under the matress.

What can I use with a "Memory Mattress"?
We would not advise using an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress. The memory foam would diminish over time.

Just lift the flap or nipple that connects to the electric blanket and then pull the controller will then be disconnected.
Have back problems. Osteopath suggests electric blanket to come on approx 5.00am for one hours warmth on my back before rising. Is this possible ? if so can you suggest a suitable model. many thanks.
The blanket cannot be set to come on at a time, but it can be set to run in hourly increments

The heat setting can be set for the body or feet at different temperatures if required. The display will also show the parts heated.

The single is 70w the double & kingsize is 120w the super king size is 140w.

No, after turning the power off the controller will revert back to settings temperature 9 9 and timer 1.

The pre-heat setting heats the electric blanket 10-15 minutes before going to bed and then achoose a lower temperature. The body and the feet on both sides of the bed can be controlled separately.

My mattress is sprung with a memory foam top layer built in (not complete memory foam all the way the mattress). Is this electric blanket suitable?
We would not advise using an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress.
How long does this take to heat up? Will blanket automatically switch off after an hour.
This comes with a pre-heat 10-15 minutes before you go to bed. The timer is for 1 to 9 hours or H for 12 hours.
I have a king mattress however it’s only 15cm thick, would a double sheet fit better than a king size one?
You would have to purchase the correct size for the bed size. However, the fitted skirt is elasticated so it will fit tight to most size mattresses.

The foot area is about 12"(30cm) and the heating element is around 7"(18cm) from the end of the blanket. The foot area can be controlled separately to the body area.

Hello, can the homefront fleece electric blanket be used with a plastic waterproof sheet covering it? The kind used to protect the mattress from 'accidents'. Thank you.
The Homefront Premium Luxury Electric Blanket cannot be used with any waterproof sheet covering, due to this being extremely unsafe. We would not recommend to use any electric blanket if there is any chance of the blanket becoming wet.
We have bought one of these items a year ago, and now have have to replace one of the detachable power leads. Are spare leads replaceable? Thanks!

Hi, I understand that if the safeguard feature cuts in because the blanket overheats you have to buy a new controller. I cannot find anything anywhere about where to buy a new controller. I'd be greatful for any help you can give!

The skirt is between 9 and 12 inches deep. The only mattress an electric blanket can't cover is a memory foam mattress.
Does the ACHPFD Double blanket require one or two Electric socket and, if one, is it to the left or right.
The Homefront double electric blanket will require two electric sockets, one for each side of the blanket.
